The club offers 2 membership levels for discounted rates & some other features. A bit noisy from the music at nite.Īlthough the place originally catered to the hard core snooker players under the previous mgmt, the place now features 10 decent quality American sized pool tables that feature a ball return mechanism at the expense of removing 6 snooker tables a couple yrs ago. Better to play before 6 when the background music seems lower volume.

On the downside they tend to let the cloths get pretty worn before replacing while the table surface markings fade from use & brushing & they are not redone often enough.ģ flat screen TVs thru out the place usually have some pro snooker footage playing & adds a nice touch to the atmosphere. Snooker balls are likely Tournament Champion. These are pretty good quality for house cues. Recently a whole bunch of new house cues for snooker were added to replace older cues. The snooker tables are brushed & ironed regularly to play at an optimum level. They do a pretty good job of mitigating ball shadows. The lighting assemblies above the snooker tables are imported from China & the best performing fixtures in town for snooker. Tables 1 to 5 are supposed to be Riley Aristocrats with the steel block cushions while 6 to 10 are probably Renaissances with standard wood backed cushions. The table accessories are in very good shape. They appear to be Riley tables but rumored to be made in China knock offs & the cushions are very responsive. The snooker tables all had new cloth installed in Nov after a recent renovation & they play great. Meanwhile, the top officials of the Pakistan Billiards & Snooker Association (PBSA), Ali Asghar Valika (Patron), Jawed Karim (President) and Alamgir Anwar Shaikh lauded Sajjad on his break of 147.I've been coming here for the past 4 or 5 yrs & this is one of the few places locally I would play & practice snooker. Haris meted out similar treatment to third seed Shahid, defeating him 5-2 with the frame scores of 74-44, 68-24, 29-65, 43-64, 79-51.Įighth seed Babar didn’t allow any liberties to his unseeded rival, Muhammad Faizan, beating him neck and crop 5-1 with the frame scores of 64-30, 100-27, 131-174-12, 55-79, 61-8. But he was unable to stop the former champion from snatching the decisive ninth frame. It was at this point that the unseeded cueist demonstrated incredible resilience to win the next four frames. His opponent, Zulfiqar Qadir, reduced to being mere spectator in three frames, showed some grit in the fourth frame but Sajjad clinched it too which brought him just one frame from completing victory.

He followed it up with the record break of 147 in the next frame and went 3-0 up in no time with another superb break of 63 in the third frame. Sajjad started the day with a bang as he warmed up with a break of 62 in the opening frame. It’s for the first time that a Pakistani has compiled a maximum break of 147 in any national ranking event. The final will take place on Monday (tomorrow).Īlthough the young duo of Ahsan and Haris created the big upsets by routing top cueists, it was the record breaking Sajjad’s break of 147 that became the headline of one of the historic days of Pakistan snooker. It will be followed by the semifinal between Babar and Ahsan, scheduled to begin at 12:30.
